The Danish company Kamstrup is withdrawing from both Russia and Belarus. Kamstrup informs Berlingske. The billion-dollar company Kamstrup is located near Skanderborg and produces electricity, water and heat meters. According to Berlingske, the decision to leave the countries was made in March due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. And the process of withdrawing is underway.
- In response to Russia's invasion and aggression against Ukraine, we made a decision in March 2022 to shut down all trade with Russia and Belarus. Our office, employees and local cooperation with dealers are currently being wound up in accordance with current regulations, writes Louise Vestergaard-Hasen, brand and communications director at Kamstrup, to Berlingske.
Kamstrup has had an annual turnover in Russia of between five and ten million kroner. This is therefore a very small part of the company's total turnover, which in 2021 was 2.4 billion kroner. The Danish meter company was founded in 1946 and has employees in over 20 countries worldwide, Kamstrup writes on its website. Kamstrup is owned by the Danish energy company OK.
