Jammerland Bugt Coastal Offshore Wind Farm put to public consultation

The Danish Energy Agency and the Danish Environmental Protection Agency have launched a public consultation on the environmental impact report for the offshore wind turbine project south of Kalundborg.
5. APR 2024 10.30

From 4 April to 30 May 2024, citizens, organisations and authorities are invited to participate in the public consultation on the Jammerland Bay Nearshore Offshore Wind Farm. This is according to the Danish Energy Agency. The period will provide an opportunity to submit comments on the project's consultation material, which is now publicly available.

On 15 March 2024, the Danish Energy Agency approved the project's environmental impact report, and the consultation material consists of the application for an establishment permit from Jammerland Bay Nearshore A/S, the approved report, and a draft of the Danish Energy Agency's establishment permit. This step marks an important milestone in the progress of the project.

With a call for feedback, the Danish Energy Agency and the Danish Environmental Protection Agency emphasize the importance of public and authority participation to ensure a comprehensive assessment of the project's impacts. All consultation responses must be sent to the Danish Energy Agency before the deadline of May 30, 2024, which contributes to a transparent decision-making process.

A citizens' meeting about the project will be held on April 25, 2024 in Kalundborg Hallerne.
