CS WIND is currently undergoing a comprehensive upgrade of its facility in Aalborg, where Transition Pieces are handled and prepared. The goal is to increase capacity and meet the demand for larger foundations for offshore wind projects.
The company writes this in a post on LinkedIn.
The upgrades include the installation of more than 1,000 new crane mats and an extension of the crane tracks, making it possible to handle multiple Transition Pieces simultaneously. At the same time, a new rainwater system and improved leveling of the area will be established, which will increase both safety and efficiency.
In addition, new foundation plates will be installed, which are designed to be able to handle larger structures in line with market developments. The area will also be expanded with more positions for Transition Pieces, which overall increases capacity by almost 25 percent.
According to the company, the upgrade requires close coordination, as the work is carried out at the same time as daily operations. The work is carried out in collaboration with Munck Havne & Anlæg a/s.
