Fiberline Composites, which produces components for wind turbine blades, is moving production from Middelfart to India. According to the company, the reason is the market situation and Chinese competition. This was reported by the company's owner, the Swiss group Gurit, to Finans.dk.

- We have tried to make Danish production profitable, but when we are measured against production in low-cost countries, it is difficult to justify when there is no willingness to pay extra for production within the EU, and when there are no measures in place in the EU that ensure equal conditions in the same way as in the USA, Gurit writes to Finans.

The move means that 120 of the company's 170 employees will be laid off. These are employees in production, while 40-50 employees in administration in Denmark. The relocation of production will be closed in Denmark in May 2025.
