US President Donald Trump is highlighting the Swiss industrial group ABB as an example of a company investing in the US. This is part of the government's strategy to strengthen the country's industrial power position. This is reported by the Swiss Tages-Anzeiger.

ABB is among the companies highlighted for their investments in the US. The company, which has Morten Wierod as CEO, recently announced an investment of 120 million dollars (approximately 830 million DKK). This means, among other things, that 50 new jobs are expected to be created in Selmer, Tennessee. In addition, ABB plans to double the size of its existing factory in Senatobia, Mississippi, which will result in an additional 200 jobs.

What the president does not mention, however, is that under his predecessor, ABB invested much more in the United States. According to the group itself, the company has invested more than 500 million dollars (approximately 3.45 billion DKK) in the country in the past three years.
