A purchase agreement between RAH Net and Videbæk Energiforsyning is in place. The last thing missing for RAH Net to take over the electricity grid in Videbæk is the approval of the extraordinary general meeting in Videbæk Energiforsyning, an extraordinary general meeting in RAH a.m.ba., which will make the grid customers in Videbæk cooperative members in RAH, and formal regulatory approval. This is stated by RAH Net in a press release.
Over the past few years, the amount of administrative tasks has increased significantly in Videbæk Elnet, and the additional burden is expected to increase in the coming years. Therefore, the board of directors of Videbæk Energiforsyning considered that it would be timely to enter into negotiations about a sale to RAH Net.
- We are very confident that it is RAH that is acquiring our electricity grid. We have the same values, the same West Jutland standpoint and we think about cooperatives in the same way. RAH is the right buyer – both for us and our cooperative members, says Chairman of the Board of Directors of Videbæk Energiforsyning, Bent Stræde.

- Videbæk Energiforsyning has operated their grid company until UG. Videbæk Elnet and RAH Net are both notoriously at the top end of the energy industry's benchmarking, and this means that we are taking over an electricity grid in top shape. In relation to our cooperative members, the purchase also makes sense, as it provides some synergy effects that everyone will benefit from. We will have more shoulders to carry the burden, and that is only a plus for our cooperative members, he says.
The price for the electricity grid in Videbæk has not yet been published, but both parties agree that the price and terms are a cooperative member matter and will be informed and explained at the respective general meetings.
- But it is an agreement that both parties are very satisfied with and which creates two winners, Bent Stræde and Jørgen Poulsgaard say in unison.
