Several emirates - including the oil hub of Fujairah - reported missile or drone strikes on Monday. A missile hit a civilian vehicle in Abu Dhabi, killing a Palestinian citizen, Abu Dhabi's media office said on social media X.

- Authorities in Abu Dhabi have responded to an incident in which a missile hit a civilian vehicle in the al-Bahyah area, killing a Palestinian citizen, the media office said.

The authorities did not immediately provide further information about the incident, but urged citizens to only obtain information "from official sources and avoid spreading rumors." The al-Bahyah area is a suburb of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

Iran has fired over 1,800 missiles and drones at the United Arab Emirates in recent weeks. According to the AFP news agency, this is the country that Iran has attacked the most times in the conflict that began on February 28.

In the emirate and oil hub of Fujairah, a fire broke out in an industrial zone after a drone attack. This was reported by the Fujairah media office.

Emergency services have been sent to the area to try to control the fire. Two anonymous sources told the Reuters news agency that oil loading has been temporarily suspended.

The attacks come as oil prices rose further on Monday. This is the second major disruption to operations at the important oil port in just a few days, as there was also a drone attack at the weekend. No one was killed or injured on Monday, according to the media office.

Fujairah, from which about a million barrels of oil are shipped daily, is located on the Gulf of Oman close to the Strait of Hormuz. The busy strait has been largely closed during the ongoing unrest in the Middle East. This has had a major impact on rising oil prices.

During the night, the international airport in Dubai, the largest city in the United Arab Emirates, closed. This was after a drone attack.

On Monday morning Danish time, according to the news agency AFP, a "gradual" reopening of the airport is reported.
