Plan & Byg

KOLDING: The development of Kolding's port areas must be planned on the basis of a professional basis, which a new port commission will provide. A majority in Kolding City Council has decided on this and previously allocated a financial framework of 1 million DKK for it. The members have now been found, the municipality informs.

- With the port commission, we will have an expert committee consisting of some of the most competent professionals who can advise the City Council on how we develop the port, so that there is room for both an active commercial port and new city functions, says Mayor Jakob Ville (V).

The chairman will be Michael Svane, former industry director for DI, Transport. Among the members are also Henrik Munch Jensen, former CFO now CPO, Aarhus Port, and Stefan Birkebjerg Andersen, former city director for Odense Municipality. The Commission will deliver its final report and recommendations in late 2026 or early 2027.
