ODSHERRED: Although the politicians in Odsherred City Council would prefer to be free, the fear of a crash in Odsherred Forsyning made the city council grant a guarantee of DKK 110.9 million on Thursday. - If we say no, we risk our citizens not getting any water and not being able to flush the toilet, said Mikkel Henriksen (Nyt Odsherred) during the city council meeting, which was not fully attended because several of the city council members are disabled in the case. Among others, mayor Karina Vincentz (Nyt Odsherred), whose husband has sat on Odsherred Forsyning's board. She called it critical that the supply company has mixed up the finances of sub-companies - for example by borrowing money from Odsherred Vand to Odsherred Varme.
- It's a worse mess, new information appears all the time, and when you think it can't get any worse, something new appears, she says about the conditions in Odsherred Forsyning. She is dissatisfied that the municipality has promised a guarantee without being presented with information about the problems in the utility company's finances: "There is information that the municipality has not been given. It is highly reprehensible", she says.
