ODSHERRED: The reconstruction plan for Odsherred Varme stipulates that the financial creditors - i.e. the municipality and Nordea - can establish a mortgage to secure the so-called piecework dividend (the agreed percentage that the heating company must repay its creditors). And Odsherred Municipality has now decided to make use of this option. This is stated in the minutes from this week's city council meeting.
Prior to the decision, the administration has discussed the matter with Nordea, which wants to secure itself via a mortgage in the company for 50 million. and mortgage on real estate for 355.6 million DKK. On the recommendation of the law firm Bech-Bruun, Odsherred City Council wanted to establish a mortgage of approximately the same size. In the agreed long repayment period of 45 years, the mortgage on real estate will increase significantly.
It costs the municipality approximately 6 million DKK to establish the mortgage - the costs cover documentation and especially the land registration fee. The City Council approved the recommendation from the Administration and Finance Committee that the funds be financed via loans together with the debt taken over from Odsherred Varme. City Council member Mathias Hansen (V) did not participate in the discussion due to incapacity. As a former chairman of Odsherred Varme, he has, as previously mentioned, been summoned by the rest of the City Council for dereliction of duty, which he rejects.
