ODSHERRED: Odsherred Forsyning A/S is bankrupt and Odsherred Varme maintains a total compensation claim of 100 million kroner against former members of the company's board of directors and management. This is stated by curator Christian Jul Madsen to Sjællandske Nyheder.
- The subject matter and the number of defendants are so far unchanged in the case filed by Odsherred Forsyning A/S in bankruptcy, he states in an email to the media.
The case, which is being heard at the Court in Holbæk, arises from the decision to roll out district heating in five gas towns in Odsherred, despite a significant deterioration in the project's finances. The project was stopped in April 2024 with an estimated debt of 1.6 billion kroner.
According to the utility company's claims, the defendants must acknowledge responsibility for the decisions and pay up to 10 million kroner each if the court finds them liable for damages.
Monday was the deadline for submitting supplementary pleadings for the lawsuits filed in April.
The defendants have until October 27 to submit a response.
