ODSHERRED: It is too early to support Ewii's plans to buy the debt-ridden Odsherred Forsyning, says Odsherred mayor Karina Vincentz (Nyt Odsherred) in EnergiWatch.
- We are excited to hear what their plans and thoughts are for the company. We don't know that right now, and that is why it is also difficult to have an opinion, says the mayor.
She states that Odsherred Municipality has not been involved in the sales process and was only informed of Ewii's acquisition plans through a press release last week.
Since the supply went into reconstruction in the fall of 2024, Odsherred Municipality has actually had no influence on a possible sale, which is solely decided by the trustee and main creditor Nordea.
However, Ewii CEO Lars Bonderup Bjørn has emphasized to CleantechWatch that support from the municipality is a prerequisite for the purchase, and that the dialogue with Odsherred is crucial.
- It is very important for us that there is a good dialogue with the municipality, he says.
