FREDERIKSHAVN: The economy is stagnant in the Port of Frederikshavn, and now the North Jutland port once again needs to take out a loan. The new loan will be guaranteed by the Frederikhavn Municipality's Finance Committee at the upcoming meeting. This is reported by TV2 Nord.

This is the third time in a short time that the municipality has to decide whether it will guarantee. In the autumn, the city council politicians nodded "yes" to doing so, all times for loans with a total value of 207 million. DKK. In total, the port has debt of approx. 1.5 billion. DKK. How much more it will borrow this time is still a secret.

According to TV2 Nord, the port is applying for two new loan guarantees in total. One is to guarantee an amount that will cover 2024. The other is to cover expenses related to the completion of an oil terminal that Stena Oil has leased from the port.
