Vestas has appointed Felix Henseler as the new Chief Technology & Operations Officer (CTOO) from 1 September 2025. However, he will join Vestas immediately. Felix Henseler replaces Anders Nielsen, who, according to Vestas itself, has chosen to step down from the day-to-day management at the end of the year after six years in the position.

Anders Nielsen will act as an advisor to Felix Henseler until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition. In his six years in the position, Anders Nielsen has played a leading role in turnarounds of Vestas' Power Solutions segment as well as the continued industrialization and standardization of the company's technology and production, Vestas said in a press release.

Felix Henseler comes from a position as CEO of ZF Wind Power and as CTOO will be responsible for increasing production of both onshore and offshore wind turbines and strengthening Vestas' offer within wind energy solutions and the maturity of the industry.

- Vestas and wind energy are at the center of ensuring the world cheap, secure and sustainable energy, and to succeed we must continue to drive industrialization and efficiency across the industry and deliver competitive wind energy solutions to our customers. Under Anders Nielsen's leadership, we have made great progress, and on behalf of the entire Executive Board, I welcome Felix as Anders' successor, as he brings extensive industrial experience and knowledge of wind energy to the role. On behalf of everyone at Vestas, I would like to thank Anders Nielsen for his great contribution over the past six years and for staying on board until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition, says Henrik Andersen, CEO of Vestas.

In the third quarter of 2024, Vestas merged its technology and production organizations into Technology and Operations with the aim of increasing the industrialization of wind energy and strengthening the company's overall delivery of wind energy solutions. Felix Henseler will become part of Vestas' Group Management and report directly to Henrik Andersen.

- With a long career in engineering and production, efficiency, competitiveness and scalability will be my focus, and I am honored to join Vestas and meet my many new colleagues who drive these efforts and ensure that we deliver on our customer promises, says Felix Henseler, who is the incoming CTOO at Vestas.
