Vattenfall installs its third large battery system in Sweden

In the forests northwest of the small town of Bruzaholm in Eksjö municipality in Sweden, Vattenfall is currently constructing a large battery storage facility, which will be built in connection with the Bruzaholm wind farm, which will consist of 21 Siemens Gamesa turbines, which will be ready in spring 2025.

The battery system will consist of 60 battery modules with a total output of 38 MW and with an energy storage capacity of 38 MWh, the battery will help maintain the balance of the electricity system and contribute to reduced fluctuations in electricity prices.

Installation of the battery system will begin in October and be completed before the turn of the year. The facility is expected to be fully operational in September 2025.
