Danish cable manufacturer NKT has to say goodbye to its CEO for the past four years, Alexander Kara, who has chosen to resign from his position. The company announced this in a statement.
- I would like to thank Alexander Kara for the commitment he has shown in NKT since he joined the company in 2019. He has led a successful transformation of the cable business since 2019, which has lifted the financial key figures. The company is now in a strong position to grow with the transition to renewable energy and the electrification of society, says Jens Due Olsen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of NKT.
The replacement for Alexander Kara has been found internally at NKT in the form of Claus Westerlind. Claes Westerlind has more than 15 years of experience from the high-voltage cable and transformer industry and joined NKT in 2017 after NKT acquired ABB HV Cables in Sweden. Since 2019, Claes has held the position of Executive Vice President, Solutions Karlskrona, and has been a member of the global management team at NKT.
- With the appointment of Claes as the new CEO of NKT, we have found the right profile to further strengthen our cable business and continue to position ourselves to grow with the transition to renewable energy and the electrification of society, says Jens Due Olsen.
