The schedule for Energiø Bornholm once again seems to be slipping. This means that the challenges for the state's major energy project continue. Thus, a document access that DR has received shows that the tender for offshore wind, which was supposed to be sent out in May, has not yet been sent out - and will not be this year either. This is what DR writes.
This means that the schedule for Energiø Bornholm has slipped by at least half a year. The Danish Energy Agency confirms to DR that a new deadline has not yet been set for the tender, but the plan is, according to the agency, that it will be ready in 2025. However, this will not change the fact that the schedule will slip further, assesses professor of energy planning at Aalborg University, Brian Vad Mathiesen.
- I expect Energiø Bornholm to be postponed for one or two years. This is related to the fact that we have seen some rising prices for the infrastructure. The way the infrastructure is to be built at Energiø Bornholm and the other plants that will be built in the Baltic Sea region in the coming years costs more, and it takes time to design the tender and the infrastructure in the right way, explains Brian Vad Mathiesen to DR.
