Appeals Board rejects EIA for Vesterhav Syd's onshore facilities

The Danish Environmental and Food Complaints Board has decided in a new decision to revoke the EIA permit regarding Vesthav Syd's land facility, which also includes the establishment of a new cable station at the existing Søndervig station. This is stated by the Danish Environmental and Food Complaints Board in a press release.

The Danish Environmental Protection Agency will thus resume processing the EIA permit, which must include a full impact assessment of the project's impact on a Natura 2000 area at Skjern Å, where the Danish Environmental Protection Agency has so far only carried out a significance assessment.

Vattenfall is to build Vesthav Syd and Vesterhav Nord, while Energinet is responsible for the land facility.
