In West Jutland, people are looking forward to the new offshore wind tender in the North Sea, which the government and the Danish Parliament announced earlier this week. In Hvide Sande, among others, they are hoping for new tasks in connection with the upcoming projects in the North Sea – tasks that could bring 100 new jobs to the area, writes the media Søfart.

- It will be of great importance for the future development of Hvide Sande Port if we can get tasks in relation to the upcoming parks. It will create an economic and task-related basis for strengthening the Port's capacity, says Mogens Pedersen, Director of Hvide Sande Port.

Mogens Pedersen emphasizes that they have no desire to assert themselves as a shipping port, but hope to be able to make themselves attractive as a service port. Hvide Sande Port is already a service port for three Vattenfall offshore wind farms in the North Sea: Vesterhav Syd and Nord and Horns Rev 3.
