Despite the fact that the fate of the Hesselø Offshore Wind Farm is uncertain due to poor soil conditions at the intended location, the Port of Hundested and Halsnæs Municipality are still working to become a service port for the wind farm, writes Sjællandske Medier.
Since the plans for the offshore wind farm were presented, the port and the municipality have worked hard to get the position as a service port for the wind farm. The hope is that the status as a service port can create hundreds of jobs. If the current location of the wind farm is dropped, the municipality and port hope that an alternative area closer to Hesselø and Hundested can come into play.
– We have to wait and see, but we have not given up and are continuing to work with the preparations. We are ready in the starting box, says harbormaster Søren Brink.
