Ørsted recently received a major boost when local authorities awarded Ørsted's Balitca projects CfD contracts. Now it's the turn of Equinor's Baltyk II and Baltyk III, which together have an effect of 1,440 MW.
Equinor's CfD contracts have the same value as Ørsted's contract, 319.20 PLB per MWh – just over DKK 520 per MWh. Poland has an ambition to establish 5.9 GW of offshore wind energy by 2030 and up to 11 GW by 2040.
Equinor is building Baltyk II and Baltyk III in collaboration with local energy company Polenergia, where they each own 50 percent of the projects. The two parties also own Ba?tyk I. Ørsted is building Baltica II and Baltica III in a joint venture with Polish PGE.
