ODDER: Odder Municipality is abolishing the building permit fee for renewable energy projects. This applies to both larger installations and smaller solutions such as solar cells on the roof and heat pumps. This is stated by Odder Municipality in a press release.
The change applies to building permits submitted from April 1st. The general rules and requirements for applications and building permits are unchanged. With the abolition, the municipality wants to make it easier and cheaper for both private individuals and companies to choose renewable energy solutions.
- It is really good that we are now giving private individuals in particular even better opportunities to build installations that produce renewable energy. These types of facilities are very important for the green transition, and that's why I'm really happy that we can help support their construction, says Eva Carlslund (S), who is chair of the committee for Climate, Nature and Planning.
It's not a high bill that Odder Municipality will have to pay to make building permits for renewable energy free. The total income from building permit fees in the municipality is approx. DKK 800,000 per year, but the administration estimates that the decrease in these revenues will be approx. DKK 20,000 annually as a result of the decision.
