NRGi reported lower earnings in 2025 in a year marked by uncertainty and falling demand for electrification projects. Revenue increased to DKK 4,193 million from DKK 3,673 million the previous year. At the same time, profit before tax fell to DKK 179 million from DKK 337 million, while operating profit (EBITDA) fell to DKK 369 million from DKK 476 million. EBIT amounted to DKK 75 million compared to DKK 169 million the previous year. This is evident from NRGi's annual accounts.

- 2025 has been a challenging year, but we have maintained a strong focus on accelerating the electrification of Denmark. Our investments in the electricity grid, renewable energy and solutions on the consumption side are important for achieving Denmark's climate goal of a 70 percent reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030, says Jacob Vittrup, CEO of the NRGi Group, in a press release.

According to the company, the decline in profit is due, among other things, to the fact that small and medium-sized business customers have postponed investments in electrification. At the same time, low wind production and lower returns from asset management have affected earnings. However, NRGi highlights that in 2025 it invested 501 million DKK in renewable energy and 347 million DKK in the electricity grid in East Jutland.

- The result for 2025 does not meet our financial expectations, and we naturally take that seriously. But I am pleased that in a difficult year we have maintained our investment pace. We opened East Jutland's largest solar park on Djursland and at the same time received approval to build a new energy park in North Jutland with 15 wind turbines and 80 hectares of solar cells, which will produce electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of 61,000 households. These are investments that show that we are on course towards an electrified Denmark, says Jacob Vittrup.

For 2026, NRGi expects revenue of around DKK 4.2 billion, an operating profit (EBITDA) of DKK 530-560 million and a profit of DKK 270-290 million.
