Cadeler A/S has signed two contracts with undisclosed customers on Monday for the use of the upcoming wind installation vessel, Wind Mover. The vessel is currently under construction at Hanwha Ocean Shipyard in South Korea. Cadeler announced this in a press release.
The contracts, which have been entered into as a single agreement, cover the entire period from Wind Mover's arrival in Europe after delivery from the shipyard, which is expected to take place in the fourth quarter of this year, until the vessel's next planned installation project. The total estimated contract value could reach DKK 560 million (EUR 75 million), depending on the final delivery and return date and the scope of work, which potentially includes both O&M and installation services.
Wind Mover will be the second of two advanced M-class wind installation vessels in Cadeler's newbuilding portfolio. The vessels are designed to install the next generation of offshore wind turbines that are currently being deployed globally. Wind Mover is expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2025, while sister ship Wind Maker was delivered to Cadeler in January 2025.
