Nordex Group has received an order for a total of 106.8 MW for a repowering project in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. The customer is Bürgerwind Hollich GmbH & Co. KG, and the order includes the delivery and installation of 16 wind turbines. This is stated by Nordex Group in a press release.
The order consists of 12 N163/6.X wind turbines on 164-meter-high hybrid towers and four N149/5.X wind turbines on 125-meter-high steel towers. In addition, a premium service agreement with a term of 25 years is included, which will ensure the operation and maintenance of the turbines. The project is being implemented as a repowering project. In the area, eight N131 wind turbines from Nordex have been in operation since 2015 in the Hollich Sellen civic wind farm near the town of Steinfurt in northern Münsterland. The new turbines will be installed in the immediate vicinity of Nordex's service point in Steinfurt, and the first turbine is expected to supply electricity from spring 2027.
- We did not take the choice of wind turbines lightly. For us, only established German manufacturers were seriously considered. The decision in favor of Nordex was based, among other things, on many years of experience with project implementation and service, the technology used and the cooperation during contract negotiations, says Jörg Tiemann, CEO of Bürgerwindpark Hollich Group.
