On Tuesday, the Danish Defence published images and videos of the three gas leaks in the Baltic Sea. The images show bubbles on the water surface.

The first leak on the Nord Stream 2 connection was detected on Monday, approximately 20 kilometres south of Dueodde on Bornholm. On Tuesday morning, two more leaks were found on Nord Stream 1 northeast of Bornholm. Both gas pipelines are out of service.

The gas leaks were discovered by the Danish Defence's F-16 readiness, the Danish Defence wrote in a tweet. The frigate Absalon and the environmental vessel Gunnar Thorson are on their way to the area on Tuesday to enforce a ban on sailing near the leak areas.

The Russian gas company Gazprom has closed Nord Stream 1 for the time being, while Nord Stream 2 never managed to become operational. However, both contained gas under pressure.
