FREDERIKSHAVN: Frederikshavn Municipality has started conducting another investigation, which will take one to two months. According to Nordjyske, the municipality wrote this in a statement to the Danish Appeals Board.

The Appeals Board contacted Frederikshavn Municipality at the end of October, after TV2 Nord had obtained an audio file. Here you can hear how an employee from Frederikshavn Municipality asks an employee at Frederikshavn Port to exempt documents from access to documents. The Danish Appeals Board asked for a statement in the case and the municipality's own assessment of whether it has acted within the framework of the law.

To be absolutely sure before the municipality answers that question, Frederikshavn has decided to review all the files in the case once again. The procedure will take one to two months, because a lawyer will have to review 3,000 emails from the municipal director's inbox again, writes the local media.
