BORNHOLM: Normally, the chairmanship of Rønne Port is one of the positions that is negotiated in the Bornholm constitution, but contrary to tradition, it has been chosen to appoint a person who neither ran for the municipal election nor represents one of the parties. The choice has therefore fallen on Anders Kofoed, a state-authorized accountant at Rønne Revision, writes TV2 Bornholm.
Rønne Port is Bornholm's largest port and is in the middle of a major expansion that will prepare the port for new offshore wind projects in the Baltic Sea. The investments in the facilities have given the port a debt of two billion. DKK, and it is therefore also a very conscious choice by Frederik Tolstrup (V), future mayor of Bornholm Regional Municipality, to have chosen a person who has some special skills in economics as a state-authorized accountant.
- Politicians can do something, I do not want to downplay my own position. But right now it is good to have someone who has a sense of accounting, and the port is entering a new phase. It looks like they have finished building and that they are going to operate and consolidate. So I think it is a really good profile to get as chairman of Rønne Port, Frederik Tolstrup tells TV2 Bornholm.
