What do Læsø, Lolland and Langeland have in common?
In addition to being island municipalities, they continue to have the largest share of oil-fired boilers out of all the municipalities in the country. Læsø tops the list with 27.21 percent, while Lolland is at 17.58 percent and Langeland at 17.16 percent.
However, the development is going in the right direction – not only in the three municipalities, where the share of oil-fired boilers has decreased by 32.84 percent (Læsø), 38.26 percent (Lolland) and 43.16 percent (Langeland) since 2020 – but across the municipalities.
This is shown by a new analysis prepared by the legal consultancy TestaViva based on figures from Statistics Denmark.
The figures show, among other things, that the Municipality of Copenhagen has the fewest detached houses/detached houses with oil-based central heating, namely 0.53 percent of the houses. Here, the proportion has fallen by a whopping 70.85 percent since 2020.
The largest decrease is in the Municipality of Frederiksberg, which is 87.07 percent since 2020. Here, the proportion with oil boilers is today 1.48 percent.
In addition to Læsø, Lolland and Langeland, it is municipalities such as Nordfyns, Morsø, Gribskiv, Stevns and Odsherred that have the largest proportion of oil boilers.
The government's political goal is to phase out oil boilers as a heat source in 2030.
