Vestas has received a 124 MW order from EDF power solutions North America. The order includes the delivery of 20 EnVentus V162-6.2 MW wind turbines for the Haute-Chaudière wind project in Quebec, as well as a 10-year AOM 5000 service agreement. Vestas announced in a statement.

When completed, the project will be able to provide power to tens of thousands of homes in Quebec, while supporting local jobs and industrial development. The project is one of three awarded by Hydro-Québec in its latest tender round.

- The Haute-Chaudière project is a strong example of what can be achieved when experienced partners combine supply chain expertise with world-class technology. We are proud to partner with EDF power solutions, which demonstrates their long-term commitment to delivering wind energy in Quebec,” said Laura Beane, CEO of Vestas North America.

Vestas currently has more than 5 GW of installed capacity in Canada, spread across all 10 provinces. In Quebec, the company currently services 428 MW and has an additional 347 MW under construction. As part of the order, Quebec-based Marmen will supply towers for the project, which will support 130 local jobs in Trois-Rivières.

Delivery of the turbines is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2026, while commissioning is scheduled for the fourth quarter of the same year.
