Trump's decision to raise tariffs to 20 percent on all goods from the EU could have serious consequences for Danish companies and society's green and digital transition. This is assessed by the business organization TEKNIQ in a press release.
- The new tariffs could have serious consequences, especially for smaller companies in a small open economy like Denmark that export to the US. But Trump's tariff hammer does not just hit companies, it also risks slowing down the green and digital progress that we as a society need. That is why it is absolutely crucial that Europe now stands together to ensure development in the long term, says CEO of TEKNIQ Troels Blicher Danielsen, who is CEO of TEKNIQ.
He calls for the EU to respond collectively to the American tariff barriers.
- When the US closes the door, Europe must open the window. We must use our joint strength to ensure free and fair trade. We have the prerequisites to succeed, as we have a digitally strong workforce and a competitive business community that is ready to act on the new global world order, says Troels Blicher Danielsen.
