LM Wind Power ended 2023 with a record deficit of just over two billion kroner, despite a capital injection of 2.52 billion kroner. kroner from the parent company. JV.dk writes.
The management explains that the result for 2023 did not reach the expected level due to lower revenues, higher costs of guarantees and inflation. The accounts also revealed a calculation error from last year that increased the deficit by over one hundred million kroner.
An unexpected financial adjustment in 2023 meant that LM Wind Power had to pay an extra DKK 121.2 million to correct errors in previous payments to group companies.
Despite the billion-dollar deficit, the company's future is secured with funding from the parent company GE Vernova, although they expect a new deficit of 1.5 to two billion kroner in 2024.
