Siemens Gamesa recently launched its latest offshore model, the SG 14-222 DD, which will have a standard output of 14 MW and the potential for up to 15 MW.
Now Siemens Gamesa has received the first commercial order for the upcoming giant. It is for the Hai Long Offshore Wind project in Taiwan, where Siemens Gamesa will deliver its new model.
Initially, this concerns the 300 MW Hai Long 2. The developers of the Hai Long project are also considering using the Siemens Gamesa lighthouse for the rest of the project, which totals 1,044 MW.
The installation of the first turbines is expected to begin in 2024.
