Ørsted has entered into a new power purchase agreement in the USA, where Reyal DSM, a global purpose-driven, science-based company focused on nutrition, health and a sustainable lifestyle, will now source its green power from Ørsted in Texas.
Here, Ørsted is currently building its first industrial-scale solar and battery storage facility, the 460 MW Permian Energy Center, which is being built in Andrews County, Texas. The Permian Solar project includes a 420 MW (AC) solar power plant and a 40 MW battery storage facility on a 1,500-hectare site adjacent to existing oil and gas installations.
