Ørsted is opening a new 2,100 square meter operations & maintenance center at Vlissingen in the Netherlands, which will service the Borssele 1 and 2 offshore wind farms. This is reported by offshorewind.biz.
Siemens Gamesa will deliver 94 8 MW offshore turbines to the Dutch Borssele offshore wind farm project, which will have a total capacity of 752 MW. The turbines are expected to be put into operation during this year.
Around 50-100 people will be employed to work at the new center.
