Green Power Denmark is now opening nominations for the Green Power Award 2024. This year, their focus will be on the theme of 'electrification of Europe' and the award will pay tribute to those who accelerate electrification as an inspiration for the rest of Europe. The green business organization is now opening its website to nominate people and initiatives for the award. The deadline for nominations is February 4, the organization states in a statement.
- We must power the green transition and triple our electricity consumption in Denmark. Therefore, this year, the Green Power Award is paying tribute to those who show the way for how we consume the green electricity that the skilled installers and developers produce. Because we will not achieve the goal of the green transition by only installing more renewable energy, says Kristian Jensen, CEO of Green Power Denmark.
The winner of the Green Power Award will be announced at the Green Power Denmark Summit, which this year will be held on May 23. Here, the winner will receive a statuette and 30,000 kroner, to be used for a charitable green cause. In 2023, which was the first time the award was presented, Crossbridge Energy and Everfuel won for their joint HySynergy project, which supports electrification through electrolysis plants and liquid fuels in sectors where direct electrification is not immediately possible.
