Ørsted and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna have awarded Cadeler a contract for the transport and installation of 14 MW Siemens Gamesa wind turbines that will constitute the first phase of the Baltica 2 wind farm, which the Danish and Polish companies will jointly build in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea. Cadeler states that it sees the contract as an emphasis on the company's entry into the Polish market.

The project marks a very important milestone for Poland as well as for Cadeler, as it underlines Cadeler's strong entry into the Polish market, says Mikkel Gleerup, CEO of Cadeler.
The wind farm will be located in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea between ?eba and Ustka. The distance from the nearest wind turbines to the coast will be at least 25 km.
The onshore infrastructure necessary for the operation of the Baltica offshore wind farm will be located in the municipality of Choczewo. Baltica 2 will have an approximate capacity of 1.5 GW.
