In collaboration with the owner of Holmegaard Gods, Christian Danneskiold Lassen, European Energy has been working for a long time to build 'Energipark Fensmark', which was to consist of 75 hectares of solar cells and two 150-meter-high turbines. But now massive local opposition to the turbines has led to them being removed from the project. This is what SN.dk writes.
- The criticism of the plans has mainly focused on the installation of large wind turbines. That is why they have been scrapped, and you can say that I am now reaching out to the local community, says Christian Danneskiold Lassen about the decision.
The landowner hopes that a new consultation phase for the project will proceed quickly. This ambition is shared by Næstved Municipality, where the chairman of the Planning, Technology and Local Democracy Committee, Marianne Olsen (S), indicates that the municipality hopes to avoid a new eight-week public consultation phase, and instead settle for a shorter period "since we have already dealt with the case and the consultation responses received", she tells the local media.
