Nordex Group has received an order from the energy company SSE for the supply and installation of seven wind turbines for two wind farms in the Aragón region of Spain. The two farms, Minguez with 19 MW and Portalrubio with 23 MW, will have a total capacity of 42 MW. The German wind turbine manufacturer announced this in a statement.
The order includes seven Nordex Delta4000 turbines – four N163/5.X on 116-meter-high steel towers and three N163/6.X on 119-meter-high steel towers. Nordex will also provide service for 20 years through a Premium Service agreement, which will ensure operational reliability and stable energy supplies for SSE. The components for the turbines – towers, blades and nacelles – are produced in Spain, and the projects are located less than a three-hour drive from Nordex’s factory in Barásoain. The company also has a service center in Zaragoza, serving customers throughout the region.
– We are pleased to continue our collaboration with SSE and contribute to Aragón's position in renewable energy, says Francisco Cejudo, Director of Sales in Spain at Nordex Group.
