Ringkøbing-Skjern moves projects from Hofor and European Energy forward in the queue after GreenGo's retreat

RINGKØBING-SKJERN: Most of GreenGo Energy's applications for new solar cell and wind farms were recently withdrawn, and this has led a majority in the technical and environmental committee in Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality to recommend a new prioritization of the other energy applications. This is reported by Dagbladet Ringkøbing-Skjern.

Two projects have been moved from the "maybe category 'category 3' to the highest priority category 1. These are European Energy's Heimdal Energy Park, which covers 119 hectares of solar cells, and Hofor's project with 118 hectares of solar cells and six wind turbines in Kirsebærmose. Both projects aim for local use of the electricity - including through a 15-year fixed price agreement with the municipality in Heimdal's case.

At the same time, four other projects have been downgraded to category 3: Tim Expansion Project, Hoven Solar Plant, Vester Barde Energy Park and Østergårde Solar Project. A project in Ganer Kær, with 99 solar panels, has been completely rejected and placed in category 4.

The final decision on which projects to work on will not be made until after the summer holidays. Before then, the finance committee and the city council will discuss the matter, and politicians will first evaluate the dialogue process between citizens, project developers and renewable energy facilitators.
