Brother-in-law and nephew convicted of murdering Jimmi Lillelund - sister acquitted
Two men aged 28 and 61 were found guilty on Friday of killing 42-year-old Jimmi Lillelund back in April 2020.
The Court in Roskilde has issued a ruling in the case, and at the same time has acquitted Jimmi Lillelund's older sister, who has also been accused in the case.
The 28-year-old man is the sister's son, i.e. Jimmi Lillelund's nephew. The 61-year-old formed a couple with the sister in 2020 and was therefore Lillelund's brother-in-law when the murder occurred. However, he is not the 28-year-old's father, and he and the sister are no longer together.
Jimmi Steffen Lillelund was reported missing on April 30, 2020. For several years, the police investigated the case without making a breakthrough. It came in the summer of 2024.
Here the police learned that Jimmi Lillelund had been killed and that his remains had been burned and buried in the area near the farm in Gundsømagle, where he lived in a rented house with his older sister and brother-in-law.
The older sister, her son and brother-in-law were all arrested and remanded in custody in the case.
During the case, the nephew claimed that it was his stepfather - that is, the brother-in-law - who shot and killed 42-year-old Jimmi Lillelund. On the contrary, the brother-in-law has said that it was the nephew.
Jimmi Lillelund's older sister has denied having anything to do with her brother being killed.
During the case, it has emerged that there was allegedly a dispute over money in the family, and that the farm was also to some extent the center of drug crime.
On a previous occasion, pills and drugs were found on the farm, and this triggered a prison sentence for Jimmi Lillelund's nephew, while the brother-in-law, who was also accused in the case, was acquitted.
During a search of Jimmi Lillelund's car after his disappearance, the police found 1.9 million kroner in cash. The money was hidden in a hidden cavity in the car.
A witness in the case has said that Jimmi Lillelund had made money by buying up allotment houses in Ishøj Landsby and fixing them up.
