Right now, more than 1,200 people offshore and over 250 employees on land are working to bring the reconstruction of Tyra to completion.
Specifically, they are working on the connection and commissioning, which includes, among other things, re-establishing the gas pipeline to Denmark, starting up gas turbines and restoring the gas flow into Tyra.
Next, everything must be tested to guarantee safety and reliability from the field. When the final phase is complete and the field is back at full capacity, Tyra II will be able to deliver 2.8 billion cubic meters of gas per year, thus contributing to Denmark's and Europe's energy security and energy independence.
Below you can watch a video from TotalEnergies about the last things that are missing before Tyra II is ready for operation. The commissioning itself is expected to take place in the winter of 2023/2024.
