The reconstruction of the Tyra field is in full swing. It is scheduled to be operational during the winter of 2023/2024. However, there are many things that need to be done to ensure safe operation. That is why TotalEnergies, the operator of Tyra, has recently awarded several contracts to subcontractors.

The latest company to win a contract with TotalEnergies on Tyra II is French Altrad. The company will thus provide a number of safety-critical support services, including project management, planning and coordination, scaffolding, protective coatings and insulation services, to enable the safe and efficient commissioning of the platform. This is stated by Altrad in a press release.

- We are pleased to have secured this latest contract with TotalEnergies, which builds on our successful strategic cooperation that stretches back several decades. We look forward to working with TotalEnergies to deliver what will be one of the world's most advanced natural gas facilities, says Peter Hughes, Executive Vice President for Business Development & Strategy at Altrad.

Altrad states that the service contract, which will run for two years, will require the company to deliver more than 600,000 man-hours on the Tyra field to TotalEnergies. In order to deliver the many man-hours, Altrad's Danish department is now looking for staff. Altrads does not elaborate on the extent of the need, however.
