The public is now able to submit comments or ask questions about the environmental impact report for the Lolland-Falster gas pipeline project. The project involves the establishment of a gas pipeline from Everdrup on Zealand to Nakskov on Lolland.
The pipeline, which was announced almost a year ago, will be 115 km long and will cost DKK 792 million to build. It will be established to provide industry and housing with access to gas on Lolland, among other things, to ensure sugar production in the area.
The consultation period runs from today until March 21. In addition, a virtual meeting will be held on the environmental impact report and the project on February 10, the Danish Energy Agency informs.
The hearing is based on an application from the developers for a permit to establish a gas pipeline (Lolland-Falster) at sea.
Energinet has applied for a permit to establish the gas pipeline over the waterway crossing 'Storstrømmen', while Evida has applied for a permit to establish the gas pipeline over the waterway crossing 'Guldborg Sund'. The Danish Energy Agency is the EIA authority for the marine part, while the Danish Environmental Protection Agency is the EIA authority for the land part.
