Work on the Green Gas Lolland-Falster gas pipeline is underway along the route from Everdrup on Zealand to Nakskov on Lolland. The 7,000 pipes that will be used for the 115 km long route will soon land in the port of Køge, after which they will be distributed to the sites along the route. The first construction sites have been established so that construction work can begin from March. Here, construction work will begin at Nørre Alslev and move towards Storstrøm, Evida said in a statement.
- There are many preparations involved in such a large construction project as Green Gas Lolland-Falster. We have now reached the point where we are also starting to become more visible in the landscape, including with our construction and pipe laying sites, says project manager Claus Poetzsch.
It is expected that work on the other construction works, which extend across Lolland and Falster, will begin during the spring of 2023. The start of construction is the culmination of several years of preparations to design the project itself, ensure dialogue with landowners, obtain permits and much more. The construction phase is now underway, and is expected to last until the third quarter of 2024 with subsequent restoration and commissioning. The new gas pipeline has a budget of DKK 792 million.
