Andel Energi is launching a new electricity product, where the price is fixed at 1 kr. per kilowatt-hour for 12 months. The product is presented as a simple alternative to an electricity market characterized by large and frequent price fluctuations, and Andel describes the product in a press release as "Denmark's simplest electricity product".
According to the energy company, electricity prices have fluctuated significantly since the energy crisis, also in Denmark. In the first 11 days of the year alone, there has been a difference of 222 øre between the highest and lowest electricity prices, while during 2025 there have been many hours with negative electricity prices and many hours with prices above 100 øre per kilowatt-hour before taxes and duties.
- We are experiencing increasing interest from Andel Energi's customers for products and solutions that can create greater predictability despite the fluctuating electricity prices. Therefore, we are now trying for a period of time to price an electricity product that is as simple and easy to understand as possible. 1 krone for 1 kilowatt-hour, valid for 1 year,” says Josefine Walter, commercial director at Andel Energi.
With the new product, customers pay the same electricity price 24/7 for a year. In addition, there is a subscription, state electricity tax and network tariff, which is set by the local grid company. According to Andel Energi, all other costs are included in the price of 1 kr. per kilowatt-hour.
- Since the energy crisis, electricity prices have fluctuated greatly across Europe, and this also applies here in Denmark. This can make it difficult for individual consumers to predict the size of their upcoming electricity bill, says Josefine Walter.
The fixed-price product can currently be purchased until January 29. The sales period may be changed depending on developments on the European energy market.
