The upcoming Dogger Bank offshore wind farm, which will be the world's largest offshore wind farm when built, has now found its port of shipment, the Port of Tyne near Newcastle.
The Dogger Bank Wind Farm is a joint venture project between Equinor and SSE Renewables and is planned to consist of four farms of 1.2 GW each.
The choice is not surprisingly causing excitement in the port, where the work on Dogger Bank will be part of the port's future plans to become one of the most sustainable ports in the UK by 2030.
