Semco Maritime's German subsidiary Wind Multiplikator has secured a ten-year full service agreement for the German offshore wind farm Global Tech I, consisting of 80 AREVA M5000 wind turbines. The company announced this in a statement.
The agreement will enter into force on 1 January 2026 and includes a wide range of services, including statutory inspections, technical support, preventive maintenance campaigns, spare parts management and ensuring the availability of the turbines. The service will be carried out from the port of Emden, where Wind Multiplikator already operates similar activities at the Alpha Ventus wind farm.
- We are pleased that our good colleagues have secured this important agreement with Global Tech I. The project strengthens Wind Multiplikator and Semco Maritime's presence in the offshore wind sector and allows us to contribute our extensive expertise within the service and maintenance of offshore wind farms. We look forward to contributing to creating strong results for Global Tech I, says Thomas Thomsen, Senior Vice President, Renewables at Semco Maritime.
With the new agreement, Wind Multiplier is the market player servicing the most AREVA wind turbines. According to the company, the experience will contribute to increased reliability and efficiency in the Global Tech I project.
