Just over a month ago, the Danish shipping company Cadeler announced that Ørsted had chosen the company as the preferred supplier to install a minimum of 48 11-MW wind turbines, which will make up the two German wind farms Gode Wind 3 and Borkum Riffgrund 3. And now the two companies have signed the agreement, Candeler said in a press release.
- There is no doubt that this project is important to us, as we are utilizing our skills and know-how gathered by installing other 11 MW wind turbine projects. We look forward to working with Ørsted to deliver another successful project safely and on time, says Cadeler's CEO, Mikkel Gleerup.
The company's O-class vessel Wind Osprey, which will be upgraded with a new main crane in the near future, will be responsible for the task. The wind farms Gode Wind 3 and Borkum Riffgrund 3 will have a total capacity of more than 1 GW when they are ready in 2024 or 2025.
