ADP and the Port of Grenaa are initiating a strategic collaboration that will build on the ports' complementary strengths, a common strategic direction and commercial potential. This is stated by ADP A/S in a press release.
According to the parties, the collaboration will make it easier for customers to gain access to more deep-water ports while at the same time strengthening the ports' overall capacity and flexibility. The ambition is to create a more coherent port platform across Grenaa, Fredericia, Nyborg and Hanstholm.
In the first phase, the collaboration will focus particularly on wind and offshore activities as well as dry bulk. In recent years, the Port of Grenaa has worked on tasks within the wind turbine industry, while ADP sees opportunities to strengthen activities in Nyborg and Hanstholm, among other things.
- A closer collaboration with ADP holds clear strategic potential. We have worked purposefully to position the Port of Grenaa strongly, and we now see a real opportunity to combine our strengths with ADP's reach and platform, so that customers can get efficient access to both the Port of Grenaa and, for example, the Port of Hanstholm under one agreement. We are confident that the collaboration can ensure valuable results for both parties and be the start of something good, says Bent Hansen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Port of Grenaa.
At the same time, the ports are experiencing increasing activity within dry bulk, where, according to the companies, shared capacity and investments in infrastructure can contribute to attracting more customers.
According to the companies, the collaboration will also strengthen the possibilities of offering customers scalable solutions across geography and business areas.
- A closer collaboration with ADP holds clear strategic potential. We have worked hard to position Grenaa Port strongly, and we now see a real opportunity to combine our strengths with ADP's reach and platform, so that customers can get efficient access to both Grenaa Port and, for example, Hanstholm Port under one agreement. We are confident that the collaboration can ensure valuable results for both parties and be the start of something good, says Bent Hansen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grenaa Port.
